How long does it take to build a ship?

Back in the 1930's it took years, then an upstart called Henry Kaiser came along.

He built his first ship in 240 days.

Soon he built one in 9 days!

Then in a contest with another shipyard he built one in 4 days, 15 hours, 29 minutes!!

Why, because he didn't live by the past, he decided to break the rules, he decided that he wanted to and then concentrated on the "how"

Time is precious, do you set deadlines to the old rules, to the "norm" or do you allow people to think differently?
